Professor Iram Siraj OBE
As Professor of Education at University College London, Institute of Education and Research Professor at the University of Wollongong NSW, Iram’s recent research projects have included a study on Effective Pre-school, Primary and Secondary Education and of the influential Researching Effective Pedagogy in the Early Years project.
She has and is leading longitudinal studies as a principal investigator in teams of trans-disciplinary researchers across a number of countries including the UK, Australia and Ireland. She has always been particularly interested in undertaking research which investigates disadvantage and to give children and families from these backgrounds a fairer start. She is currently leading several large studies in England, NSW and Victoria on the role of professional development in supporting workforce and child outcomes.
Iram has published widely, including over 70 books, monographs and major research reports and over 200 articles and chapters.
