YCCECE Child Protection Series Spotlights Issue with Expert Insights

PPT cover

As a leader in the field, Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE) introduced its ‘Child Protection Series’ on 1 June 2021, partnering with the Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Health Education and Health Promotion Foundation. To enlist greater public support for child protection, experts from various sectors were invited to share insights in areas like Child Abuse and Protection, Identification and Intervention, Legal Liability, Medical Hygiene, and Home-School Collaboration.

To kick-start the series, the first webinar was held on International Children’s Day on 1 June 2021, with the topic, ‘Prevention is Better than Cure’. Over 200 people, including frontline educators, social and medical workers, as well as law enforcement officers, were brought together to better understand the legal liabilities of nursing and child protection to help catch child abuse or negligence at an early stage. To look at the webinar presentation materials, please see below.
