The Fundraising Officer, carrying a functional title ‘Advancement Services Officer’, is responsible for all database administration and prospect research. This person will serve as an integral part of the Fundraising team, reporting to the Director. This role manages the tools that the Fundraising team uses to canvass all gifts, and helps prepare information on which fundraising strategies are developed. The role oversees prospect identification and qualification to ensure for a sufficient donor pipeline.
1. Proactively identify and assess new prospects;
2. Maintain knowledge of top prospects; assist fundraisers in developing appropriate cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies;
3. Ensure all prospect data, research and donor activity is entered into systems, accurately and in a timely manner;
4. Oversee and create prospect briefings, profiles reports and other written communications for board members and senior staff;
5. Ensure that all printed materials are well-written;
6. Train fundraising staff, as needed;
7. Create and monitor appropriate budgets;
8. Handle any other duties as appropriate.
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
1. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification;
2. A minimum of 2 years of prospect research experience at a non-profit organisation;
3. Strong writing, critical thinking, data mining and organisational skills;
4. A keen attention to details;
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, research software and CRM database systems;
6. Fluency in English and Cantonese required; Mandarin fluency preferred.

Appointment will be made on fixed-term contracts commencing as soon as possible.
