Position Summary:

The Assistant Manager (Early Career) is a key position in the Student Development Office (SDO) to developing network with prospective employers in order to enhance students’ employment opportunities, and source available places of internship to enrich students’ person portfolio and other learning experience.

The main tasks for the appointee are:

  1. Enhance students’ employability
  2. Develop entrepreneurship
  3. Prepare for a smooth progression of students relations to alumni relations
  4. Manage the College’s Teachers of Tomorrow Scheme
  5. Build a professional network with prospective employers
  6. Explore beyond ECE internship opportunities for students
  7. Any other duties as may be assigned by the College


Applicants should meet the following requirements

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counselling, Education, Communication
  2. At least 3 years experience working in tertiary institution
  3. Experience in professional training in career advising or guidance
  4. Solid experience in career advising, project management and report writing
  5. Extensive network with employers in education and NGO setting
  6. Embrace the approach of self-directed learning and experiential learning
  7. Excellent knowledge in data management tools, experience in data mining and large scale data management
  8. Proficiency in APPS application (best with basic knowledge in coding) is preferable
  9. A good story-teller with outstanding interpersonal skills, from students, colleagues to prospective employers

Salary and Fringe Benefits:

The initial appointment will normally be made on a 24-month contract, renewable subject to mutual consent.

Remuneration is competitive and will be based on qualifications and relevant experience. The College offers group medical insurance, staff development support, annual leave and sick leave, and Mandatory Provident Fund to eligible appointee(s).
