The Supporting the Development and Learning of Children Aged 3–6 Years with Special Educational Needs Certificate Programme focuses on curriculum planning and implementation. It has an emphasis on instructional strategies to promote development and learning with regard to language and communication, cognition and literacy, overall as well as fine motor and adaptive skills, and social-emotional development for young children aged three to six years with special educational needs.
The programme focuses on the modes and operation of integrating children with special educational needs into early care and education settings. It provides students with an overview of the philosophy of inclusion, the development of the Individualised Education Programme (IEP), as well as strategies to support development and growth in the classroom and home. It also highlights skills that help define and identify difficult behaviour in young children.

Professional Certificate in Working with Children with Special Educational Needs
Students who have completed all four constituent courses and fulfilled relevant course and attendance requirements will be awarded with a Professional Certificate in Working with Children with Special Educational Needs which is equivalent to a HKQF Level 4 qualification.

Certificate Award at QF Level 4
A Certificate Award of Completion will be awarded to students who obtained a passing grade and fulfilled the attendance requirement in individual courses. The award is equivalent to a HKQF Level 4 qualification.
