The College has different types of scholarships to support our students in achieving their goals. This section provides a general overview of each scholarship category and highlights schemes to help you plan your next application.

There are entrance scholarships (renewable) to high-quality and outstanding local / non-local and NCS students planning to pursue full-time or part-time programmes. These scholarships are primarily based on academic achievement, interview performance, special talent and community service.

College Scholarships

Entrance Scholarship

For new year 1 entry students with outstanding DSE score and year 3 entry students with outstanding CGPA (2.5 points of above).

Applicable to: BEdECE, HDECE, DECS
Scholarship amount: From $12,500 to full scholarship

Principal Recognition Scholarship

For students with outstanding academic and/or non-academic achievements in areas such as arts, sports, music, other talents, community service and leadership.

Applicable to: BEdECE, HDECE
Scholarship amount: From $22,500 (Year 1 entry) to full scholarship

Inspire Our Future Scholarship

To recognise the outstanding achievements of newly admitted BEdECE students who are recommended by designated school principals.

Applicable to: BEdECE
Scholarship amount: Full scholarship

Teachers of Tomorrow Scholarship

For successful Higher Diploma graduates of the Teachers of Tomorrow Scheme to pursue the Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Early Childhood Education, Year 3 Entry, Part-time programme.

Scholarship amount: Full scholarship

Wofoo Scholarship

To recognise BEdECE and HDECE students who have demonstrated the values of hope, love, care, respect and optimism through extra-curricular activities or community service.

Applicable to: BEdECE, HDECE
Scholarship amount: $35,000

Lam Kin Chung Morning Sun Charity Fund Scholarship

To provide encouragement to newly admitted full-time BEdECE (Year 3) and HDECE students who are of Timor Leste or Philippines nationality/ethnicity.

Applicable to: BEdECE, HDECE
Scholarship amount: $25,000

First in the Family Scholarship

For new students who are the first child in their family to study a post-secondary programme.

Applicable to: BEdECE, HDECE
Scholarship amount: $12,500

Non-Local Student Scholarship

For new non-local students who have enrolled in the College programmes. Scholarship amount to be assessed case by case.

Scholarship amount: From $12,500 to full scholarship

English Language Scholarship for Diploma in Early Childhood Studies

For new students who have enrolled in the Diploma in Early Childhood Studies with outstanding DSE score in English Language.

Applicable to: DECS
Scholarship amount: $12,500

Mr & Mrs Ma Scholarship

For new full-time BEdECE year 1 / Year 3 students or HDECE students who have enrolled in the College programmes.

Applicable to: BEdECE, HDECE
Scholarship amount: From half to full scholarship

Drs. Richard Charles and Esther Yewpick Lee Charitable Foundation Scholarship for Non-Chinese Speaking Students

For Non-Chinese-Speaking students who aspire to become quality early childhood educators.

Applicable to: BEdECE, HDECE, DECS
Scholarship amount: $50,000

CIFI YCCECE Scholarship

For new HDECE mature students who have enrolled in the College programmes.

Scholarship amount: Half scholarship

Non Chinese Speaking Scholarship

For newly admitted students whose nationality/ethnicity is non-Chinese and meet the minimum entry requirement for the programme.

Qu Zihan Sino-Western Integrated Scholarship for Early Childhood Education

For new full-time BEdECE year 1 / Year 3 students or HDECE students who have enrolled in the College programmes.

Scholarship amount: From $12,500 to full scholarship

Award for Academic Excellence

For students with outstanding academic achievements progressing to the next year of study in their respective programmes.

The Founder’s Award

For distinguished graduates of the BEdECE and HDECE programmes.

Bursaries

The College has a number of bursaries to assist students with financial hardship. These financial aids are funded by the College, private organisations and individuals, are allocated to support the tuition fee of full-time local students based on their financial needs. Emergency assistance is also available at any time during the year.

Government Scholarships

The Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship Scheme (SPSS)

For students pursuing full-time locally-accredited self-financing sub-degree or bachelor's degree (including top-up degree) programmes at non-profit- making education institutions.

Scheme for Subsidy on Exchange for Post-secondary Students (SSE)

Encourage student exchanges in post-secondary education sector to develop their international outlook, communication skills and ability essential for thriving in a world of multi-cultures.

Scheme for Subsidy on Exchange to “Belt and Road” Regions for Post-secondary Students

Strengthen and promote further educational exchanges between Hong Kong and the nearby countries along the Belt and Road under the “one belt one road” initiatives.
