Secretary of the Division and Political Commissar E Hongda warmly received the delegation. He emphasized that Shihezi, as a key node city in the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt, is advancing the modernization and internationalization of its education system. "Po Wah Group's proactive visit demonstrates strong support for Shihezi's development," he noted. "We particularly look forward to deepening cooperation with YCCECE to introduce advanced international early childhood education concepts and practices, establishing an international teacher training base with influence across Central Asia."
Professor Paul Yip Kwok-wah stressed that Po Wah Group will leverage its diversified industry strengths to contribute to Shihezi's development. "We will bring our expertise to bear in early childhood education, cultural tourism, brand promotion, and international trade to foster substantive project collaborations with Shihezi," he said.
Dr. Betty Chan Po-king introduced the distinctive features of Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education. "We are highly optimistic about Shihezi's development prospects," she stated. "With over 90 years of accumulated experience in early childhood education, Yew Chung is committed to introducing our international educational philosophy, high-quality curriculum system, and professional teacher training model to Shihezi. We aim to integrate our successful model with local needs to elevate the overall standard of preschool education in the region."
Po Wah Group and Shihezi authorities formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Notably, YCCECE and Xinjiang Shihezi Vocational Technical College also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). According to the MOU, YCCECE will actively align with Shihezi's needs, integrating Hong Kong's high-quality early childhood education resources with the educational development demands along the "Belt and Road" route to create a model project for East-West educational collaboration. This cooperation not only marks a new chapter in advancing high-quality preschool education in Shihezi but also injects fresh vitality and depth into "Belt and Road" education initiatives.
