YCCECE Developmental Science Conference, themed “Optimising Children’s Developmental Trajectories” was held on 6 October 2026 at YCCECE.
The conference promoted interdisciplinary dialogue on children’s development and wellbeing. We were honoured to welcome keynote speakers Professor Scott G. Paris, who spoke on “Deep Structures in Human Development”, and Professor Bert De Smedt, who shared insights on “Individual Differences in Mathematical Cognition: A Bert’s Eye View”.
Discussions explored key areas including inclusive education, family dynamics, curriculum innovation and play, digital wellbeing, bilingual acquisition and child research. By connecting research with practice and policy, the conference contributed to evidence-informed approaches that support every child’s opportunity to thrive.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the keynote speakers, presenters, participants for contributing to an exchange of knowledge and perspectives.
