Ms Nancy Ting and Ms Mary Ann Hood joined the prestigious Positive Psychology 2.0 International Conference 2025 (PP 2.0 2025), held from 22 to 28 June at Tung Wah College. This year’s theme, “Positive Psychology 2.0: The Roles of Psychology of Spirituality and Transcendence in Facing Ever-Changing Environment and Life Adversities,” brought together leading scholars, educators, and practitioners from around the world to explore the evolving dimensions of psychological resilience and well-being.
Ms Ting and Ms Hood of YCCECE actively engaged in professional dialogues and exchanged insights with fellow participants, contributing to meaningful conversations on the role of spirituality and transcendence in psychological development. Their presence at the conference highlighted the College’s commitment to staying at the forefront of educational and psychological research, especially as it expands its academic focus to include child and developmental psychology.
In addition to their participation, Ms Ting and Ms Hood are leading YCCECE’s flagship research initiative—the “Kindergarten to Primary” project, which explores the developmental transitions and psychological needs of children as they move from early childhood education into primary schooling. Their involvement in PP 2.0 2025 provided valuable perspectives that will directly inform this project, particularly in understanding how positive psychology can support children’s emotional and spiritual well-being during critical periods of change.
“This conference was a timely and enriching experience,” said Ms. Ting. “As the College expands its focus on child development and psychology, it is essential to understand how positive psychology can support children’s emotional and spiritual growth.”
Ms. Hood added, “The exchange of ideas and the collaborative spirit at this international conference reaffirmed the vital role of positive psychology in early childhood education. We’re excited to bring these evidence-based insights back to enhance our research and teaching.”
YCCECE’s participation in PP 2.0 2025 reflects its ongoing dedication to academic excellence and innovation. By engaging with global trends and thought leadership, the College continues to nurture educators and researchers who are equipped to support the holistic development of young children in an ever-changing world.
