    • The Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE) was honored to host a distinguished delegation from the South Africa Consulate General in Hong Kong, marking a meaningful moment of cross-cultural and academic exchange.

The visit was warmly hosted by the College's President Professor Kerry Lee, along with Vice President Professor Eric Cheng and Vice President Dr. Frank Lam. The College welcomed Consul General Mr. Mojalefa Mogono and guest Professor Halima Khunoethe, who engaged in a fruitful meeting and campus tour.

During the exchange, Professor Lee introduced the College’s vision, academic programmes, campus facilities, and vibrant student life. The dialogue also explored perspectives on child development in both Hong Kong and South Africa, highlighting shared values and unique approaches in early childhood education.

YCCECE’s faculty includes a diverse international team, with some educators hailing from South Africa. This global representation enriches the College’s learning environment and reflects its commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive education.

The visit concluded with mutual expressions of interest in future collaboration, including opportunities for South African students and academics to engage with YCCECE’s community. The College looks forward to building stronger ties with South Africa and continuing to foster global partnerships in early childhood education.
