The Master of Education (MEd) programme* offers a comprehensive and customisable curriculum that equips Postgraduate students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical values necessary to contribute to the advancement of Education.
Upon successful completion of the Programme, students will be able to achieve the following:
1. Enhance their professional and interdisciplinary competencies and develop effective communication, mentoring, and leadership skills in the ever-developing field of Education;
2. Cultivate professional ethics through promoting ethical practices, demonstrating social responsibility, and fostering collegial relationships, encouraging participants to embrace a deep sense of moral responsibility in their professional conduct; and
3. Develop an appreciation of, and a personal capacity for, promoting innovation and diversity in educational environments.
Graduates of the Master of Education Programme can pursue careers in school administration, adult and vocational training, teacher education, classroom teaching, policy development, curriculum development, educational assessment and evaluation, educational research and other relevant fields.
The graduates of the MEd Programme will be able to pursue further Postgraduate studies, including doctoral degrees in Education or related disciplines as the most direct extension and upgrading of their qualifications.

*Please note that the completion of the programme will not qualify graduates for being registered as a registered teacher under the Education Ordinance (Cap. 279).
The Master of Education programme caters to individuals with diverse backgrounds and career aspirations, welcoming both ECE/Education degree holders as well as non-Education degree holders (e.g. those who may be working as School Business Managers or in other non-teaching positions within the Education sector).
If you wish to be eligible to register as Qualified Kindergarten Teachers, Child Care Workers and Child Care Supervisors; or to meet the professional qualification as kindergarten principals, you are advised to apply for Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Early Childhood Education) programme.
