Exploratory learning for young children has been an important topic in early childhood education in recent years. To enhance the understanding of early childhood educators in exploratory learning, the Jockey Club ‘CoolPlay’ Project organized the "Principals and Teachers Interactive Workshop” on 26 April 2024 at the YCCECE and Pamela Peck Discovery Space (PPDS).
Approximately 80 kindergarten principals and teachers attended the event and participated in a series of workshops organized by the ‘CoolPlay’ Project. They had the opportunity to personally experience and understand how to integrate exploratory learning into their school and curriculum. During the workshops, the professional team from the ‘CoolPlay’ Project and teachers from PPDS introduced the concepts and methods of exploratory learning, through interactive and hands-on activities, enabling them to witness the growth and learning of children through exploration.
In addition to the workshops, the event also invited kindergarten school principals and teachers who have participated in the Jockey Club 'CoolPlay' Project to share their valuable experiences and insights in implementing exploratory learning for young children in terms of school practice. These sharing sessions not only enriched the knowledge and perspectives of the participants but also inspired other educators to explore innovative possibilities in their teaching practices.
