    • Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE) has received a generous donation of HK$1,000,000 from our esteemed supporter, Ms. Susanna Chan. This donation aims to set up a scheme to strengthen the research capacity of our students and expand opportunities for research and project development at YCCECE. We are extremely grateful that this donation enables us to apply for matching dollar-for-dollar under the HKSAR Government Research Matching Grant Scheme (RMGS), resulting in a total fund of HK$2,000,000 for the implementation of the scheme.

The acquisition of academic research skills and the pursuit of research and project development opportunities will significantly benefit our students. These endeavours promote personal and intellectual growth, deepen their knowledge, and foster the development of transferable skills. Engaging in research also provides mentorship and networking opportunities, creates a competitive advantage, and enables students to contribute to knowledge and society. By actively seeking research experiences, our students enhance their academic and professional development, preparing them for future endeavours.

Ms. Susanna Chan, a former parent of Yew Chung International School in Shanghai and Hong Kong, has always been a valued supporter of YCIS and YCCECE. Susanna is also a trusted member of YCCECE’s Fundraising Committee and has consistently shown her unwavering support to the College in many ways including the scholarship funds, Yew Chung Promise fund, Friends of Discovery Space, and the Dinosaur Charity Run over the past few years. We express our heartfelt gratitude for her ongoing support and dedication to our College and students.
