    • The Yew Chung Approach to Early Childhood Education, published worldwide by Routledge, one of the world's leading academic publishers, has received high praise from Oxford University's early childhood expert, Professor Kathy Sylva. She praised the Yew Chung Approach as bringing a unique and fresh perspective to the world of education. It combines Confucianism with Dewey's theory of progressive education, reaffirms the importance of international education, provides an inclusive learning environment blend both Eastern and Western cultures, and lays the foundation for innovative development of the ECE curriculum in the 21st century.

       

      YCCECE held a public education seminar on Mar 14, 2023 (Tuesday), inviting the author of the book, Dr. Stephanie Sanders-Smith, Bernard Spodek Scholar of Early Childhood Education, Associate Professor of Curriculum and Instruction, College of Education, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, to share her research findings and exchange ideas with the industry. The seminar attracted hundreds of audiences from Hong Kong and online community including educators from other universities, schools and kindergartens, parents. It was a great opportunity for exchange and learn together. In response to questions, Dr Stephanie Sanders-Smith said that the theory integrates a unique set of values that provide a foundation for early childhood teaching and learning that transcends time and remains relevant.
