Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education today held a flag-raising ceremony to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Led by Professor Kerry Lee, President and Chair Professor of Child Development of YCCECE, and Dr Crystal Zheng, Acting Vice President (Academic), the college staff and students stood together as the national anthem played and the national flag and Hong Kong SAR flag were raised, symbolizing the dignity and unity of our nation.

The ceremony aimed to plant the seeds of love for our country and sense of belonging in the hearts of our students. We hope to nurture their identification with the nation and its culture, and inspire them to translate this sense of belonging into meaningful actions—caring for society and contributing to the country.
