The inaugural Xinjiang-Hong Kong Education Forum was successfully held in Shihezi, Xinjiang, on December 4th. Hosted by Xinjiang Institute of Education Sciences, co-hosted by Education Bureau of the Eighth Division, Yew Chung Education Foundation, and Normal College of Shihezi University.
The event fostered meaningful regional dialogue under the theme "Openness, Exchange, and Sharing.”
Our team from Yew Chung Education Foundation and Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education engaged in in-depth exchanges with local counterparts on the future of early childhood education.
Our President, Kerry Lee presented his insights of executive functions in child development, while Professor Ping Shi, Director of Chor Hang Educational Research Institute, detailed our integrated teaching methodology of "Yew Chung Approach to Early Childhood Education".
Dr. Xu Xuejun, YCYW's Deputy Chief Executive Officer & Chief Business Development Officer, reaffirmed the forum's goal of mutual learning and co-developing a "Shihezi program” for early childhood education. Moreover, during the interviews, Dr. Betty Chan Po-king, YCYW's CEO & School Supervisor, plans to deepen educational exchanges, welcome mainland students and teachers, and establish a regular forum to share resources between the two regions.
