On 9 June, 2025, Dr. Frank Lam, VP (Admin) of Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE), led a delegation to Chongqing University of Education for a visit and exchange. The two institutions engaged in in-depth discussions on educational philosophy, teacher development, and future international collaboration.

On behalf of the university, Ms. Xiang Yanhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Chongqing University of Education, extended a warm welcome and introduced the university’s development as a key base for cultivating early childhood education professionals in Western China. She highlighted the distinctive features of the university’s early childhood education programme.

In his introduction to YCCECE, Dr. Lam emphasized the college’s curriculum, which integrates the strengths of Eastern and Western educational philosophies, its student-centred approach, and its strong connections with the industry.

The two sides held pragmatic exchanges on multiple potential areas of collaboration. This cross-regional dialogue not only built a bridge for cooperation between the two institutions but also laid a solid foundation for shared resources, collaborative innovation, and high-quality development of early childhood education between the Greater Bay Area and the Chengdu-Chongqing region.
