【2022HKDSE】Info Session – Career Prospect of Quality Early Childhood Education Programme


The Info Session on 25 June 2022 (Sat) is a great way to learn more about YCCECE’s unique offerings and its Early Childhood Education (ECE) programmes. Participants will have a chance to meet our lecturers and student representatives to learn the latest career pathways of studying early childhood education programmes. Prospective students, parents and teachers are welcomed to join this Info Session.

Prospective students are welcome to apply and attend an interview onsite during the event, where an application fee of HK$300 will be waived.

Feature Activities

1. Career Outlook of ECE Graduates

Ms Maggie Chan, Practicum Manager of the College and former kindergarten principal will share the market trends, government policies and career prospects of ECE graduates. She will also share the requirements and promotion paths of a kindergarten teacher and discuss the career opportunities other than being a kindergarten teacher.

2. Graduate Sharing  

A Current International Kindergarten Teacher (Athena Nicomedias) and recent YCCECE graduate will share her teaching experience in a kindergarten.

3. Admission Talk

A Programme Manager of the College will introduce YCCECE’s interactive learning style, campus life, admission requirements and features of Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Early Childhood Education, Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Diploma in Early Childhood Studies programmes.

4. ECE Creative Art Class

Teaching props are essential tools for kindergarten teachers to engage with young children. Participants will learn how to use their imagination and creativity to create teaching props to represent the characters from children’s books.

5. Campus Tour

Participants are invited to join our campus tour and visit The Pamela Peck Discovery Space (PPDS). The PPDS is a play space designed for children up to 8 years and their families to enjoy free play and quality learning experiences. Participants will get a chance to understand the concept of play-based learning, observe different types of ‘play’ and identify various play activities during the tour.

Onsite Application and Interview: YCCECE currently offers Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Early Childhood Education, Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Diploma in Early Childhood Studies. The HK$300 application fee will be waived for students who apply and interview onsite. Offers will be issued after the onsite interview.
