On 7 June 2024, YCCECE signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with  The Affiliated School of Jinan University for Hong Kong & Macao Students  Guangzhou(ASJGZ) marking the beginning of academic and cultural exchange collaborations.

Representatives from ASJGZ included Mr Tam Yat Yuk, Chief Principal of ASJGZ, Ms Shannon Luk, Director of Administration Hong Kong Office, Ms Hua Wen, Director of External Relations.

ASJGZ provides high-quality education services for the children of Hong Kong residents who work and live in mainland China. They aim to facilitate the integration of more Hong Kong residents into the Greater Bay Area development and promote educational integration between the two regions.

Professor Allan Yuen, President of Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE) stated, " The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will open up a wide range of cooperation between YCCECE and ASJGZ, with YCCECE providing professional support in the field of early childhood education to students of ASJ. Students from both regions to engage in academic and cultural exchange."

 According to the MOUs, YCCECE will offer Principal Recognition Scholarships to qualified students nominated by each of the two schools. The scholarship covers up to full tuition fees and aims to support students' learning and their pursuit of becoming early childhood educators. This will provide more opportunities for Hong Kong and Macao students residing in mainland China to pursue further education in Hong Kong and broaden their horizons and professional knowledge in early childhood education.

During the signing ceremony, both parties engaged in enthusiastic and forward-looking discussions, particularly concerning students' diverse career paths after graduation and Ealy Childhood Education(ECE) Research Project collaborations. Opinions were shared on various aspects, including the enthusiastic discussions on the future development of ECE in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area as a whole, and the various possibilities of cooperation put forward, demonstrating the common concern and outlook of both sides on the future development of ECE. 

Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dongguan and Foshan The Affiliated School of Jinan University for Hong Kong & Macao Students, the signing of the MOU with ASJGZ represents the close cooperation and friendly relationship between YCCECE and The Affiliated Schools of Jinan University for Hong Kong & Macao Students, and we believe that more cooperation and exchanges will be possible in the future. We look forward to the deepening of this collaboration and the opportunities and achievements it will bring to both institutions.
